Abstract

The article presents the results of preliminary tests of a hydraulic perforator for drilling small-diameter holes using a percussive rotary method. An experimental sample of a hydraulic perforator was developed on the basis of a scheme that provides for the sequential operation of the percussion mechanism and the mechanism for turning the drilling tool and operating from a single energy source. Preliminary tests of the perforator were carried out in order to identify reserves for improving its design and analysis of the design solutions implemented in it. In the process of testing, measurements of some parameters characterizing its capabilities were carried out. In particular, the value of the angular velocity of the drill rod and the frequency of impacts of the perforator were determined, and a preliminary estimate of the volume losses during its operation was also made. Based on the analysis of the results of the tests, it was concluded that the design of this perforator can be considered as the basic one for the development of a prototype perforator for drilling holes.
